Indie88’s Daily Departure with Sunwing Contest Rules & Regulations

Contesting Period: Monday, May 26th – Sunday, June 1st, 2025

How to play: Listen to Indie88 at 88.1FM, online at Indie88.com or through smart speaker for the hourly code word. When you hear it, text the correctly spelled code word to 416 588 0881 to qualify.  Only one code word, per hour, per person is needed to qualify. Code words are announced between 6am and 5pm EST Monday through Friday and 6am to 3pm EST Saturday and Sunday.  Daily winner is called and announced live on-air around 5:30pm weekdays and 3:30pm Saturday and Sunday.

Prize: Each day of the contest is a different trip, location and hotel / resort.  Each trip is announced each day of the contest with complete details outlined on Indie88.com.  Trip is accepted as is and is NOT eligible to be switched for another trip.

Odds of winning depend on the number of daily entries.

All trips include: Round trip flights from Toronto Pearson Airport to the destination location for two adults and 7 day accommodations at a Sunwing partner resort.  **See below for complete trip details.

Available Trips include: Hideaway at Royalton Negril, Planet Hollywood Cancun, Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters, Royalton Negril, Royalton Splash Punta Cana, Riu Palace Macao and Riu Palace Jamaica.

Additional Requirements: Must be 21 years or older to participate.  Must be a resident of Ontario.  Must have a valid passport for international travel.  Must NOT have won “Indie88’s Coldplay Your Way to Vegas” in the Fall of 2024 or “Indie88’s 10K Fridays” within the last 12 months.

**Your Sunwing prize includes:

•             Round-trip airfare, based on economy class, for two (2) adults (one of whom must be the winner) from Toronto to DESTINATION AIRPORT onboard a WestJet Airlines operated flight.

•             7 (seven) nights standard accommodation at the HOTEL based on double occupancy.

•             All Inclusive meal plan while at the HOTEL.

•             Land transfers between the airport and hotel in destination.

•             1 checked bag per person, when booking at least 60 days prior departure.

•             Taxes and related fees applicable prior to departure.

Not included in your Sunwing prize:

•             Ground transportation not specifically mentioned above (including transportation to and from you and your guest(s)’ homes)

•             Airport improvement fees

•             Taxes not specifically mentioned above (including, but not limited to, in-destination taxes, environment taxes, etc. such as the sanitation taxes applicable in Riviera Maya $33.95 Mexican Pesos per room per night; Cancun $79.20 Mexican Pesos per room per night; Costa Mujeres $33.94 Mexican Pesos per room per night; Los Cabos $39.60 Mexican Pesos per room per night. Subject to change without notice at any time by the local government).

•             Insurance (including, but not limited to, travel insurance, medical insurance and trip cancelation insurance)

•             Connecting flights (including to the departure gateway city if you do not live near an available gateway)

•             Sightseeing tours and other in-destination activities

•             Travel related fees/surcharges

•             Excess baggage fees

•             Costs associated with obtaining travel documents (including, but not limited to passports and visas)

•             Costs associated with obtaining necessary vaccinations

•             Items of personal nature

•             Additional meals

•             Room upgrade

•             Tips & gratuities

•             In-room movies

•             Seat Selection.

Limitation and Rules & Regulations

•             You accept the prize “as is” otherwise it will be forfeited.

      •    Travel is valid and must be completed by OCTOBER 31, 2025 (NON-RIU HOTEL PRIZES) // JUNE 30TH, 2026 (RIU HOTEL PRIZES) (the “Travel Period”).

      •    Travel is subject to availability and must be requested a minimum of four (4) weeks prior to the requested departure date

NON-RIU HOTEL PRIZES : Blackout periods may apply. Subject to availability.

  RIU HOTEL PRIZES : Blackout periods apply: May 24th to June 1st, 2025; June 28th to July 5th, 2025; November 22nd to 29th, 2025; December 24th, 2025 to January 2nd, 2026; January 17th to 24th, 2026; February 14th to 21st, 2026; April 1st to 6th, 2026; May 23rd to 30th, 2026; June 27th to July 4th, 2026. Subject to availability.

•             If you are unable to travel during the Travel Period, you will be required to forfeit the prize and an alternate winner may be selected at Sunwing’s sole discretion.

•             Once reservation is made, they cannot be changed.

•             As WestJet Airlines may not operate year-round in many Canadian gateways and if WestJet Airlines has stopped flying for the season out of your closest Canadian gateway for your requested travel dates- it is left at your responsibility (the prize winner) to make your way to the next closest Canadian gateway with operating flights for your requested departure dates

•             All reservations are subject to the terms and conditions set out on Sunwing’s website located at www.sunwing.ca

•             Please note future travel credits and vouchers cannot be applied to promotional bookings. The only accepted form of payments are credit cards and gift cards.

•             You and your travel guest(s) must be in possession of a valid passport and other necessary travel documents upon selection, which documents must be valid prior to, and for the duration of the trip. Failure to obtain necessary travel documentation will result in forfeiture of the prize

•             Any lost or stolen, travel vouchers or certificates will not be replaced

•             All airline tickets are subject to flight variations, work stoppage, and schedule or route changes

•             Sunwing reserves the right to structure travel routes and select hotels in its sole discretion. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight except at the sole discretion of Sunwing

•             If the prize, or any portion thereof, is unused, it cannot be carried forward and will be forfeit

•             Elements of the prize (including, without limitation, airfare and lodging) may not be used towards frequent flyer miles or other loyalty programs

•             You and your guest must comply with all applicable laws, including but not limited to, all local laws while in destination

•             The prize, and any portion thereof, is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable, has no cash surrender value and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions, except as may be decided by Sunwing in its sole discretion

Sunwing reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute and/or modify the prize or any portion thereof, with a prize of equal or greater value for any reason
