On the 50th anniversary of The Band’s legendary farewell concert, The Last Waltz, here in Toronto we’ll be celebrating this cultural moments milestone at Massey Hall with Last Waltz 50.
Bringing together over 20 of Canada’s most celebrated alternative, country, rock and hip hop voices, The Band and Bob Dylan’s songbook will be reimagined all while raising money for MusiCounts, who help bring music education and instruments to underfunded schools across Canada.
Excellent roots musician Julian Taylor is one of the fine artists performing at the Last Waltz 50 and came in to talk about the history and influence of the concert documentary, and what it’s like as an artist gearing up for the big night.
